Statement Of Faith

The Bible – The Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God, the revelation of God to man and applicable in our lives as the final authority in faith and conduct. 2 Timothy 3:15-17

God – We believe in One True God, the creator of heaven and earth, who has revealed himself as a Trinity in unity – Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Three persons, yet one God. Isaiah 43:10-11

Jesus – Jesus Christ is God, the living Word, who became flesh through miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit and His virgin birth. He lived a sinless life and voluntarily atoned for human sin by dying on the cross. He rose from the dead and ascended bodily into Heaven where he is seated on the right hand of God the Father, forever as our mediator and intercessor. He satisfied divine justice and accomplished salvation for those who trust him alone. Romans 1:1-7, Matthew 1:23, Hebrews 7:26, 1 Corinthians 15:3, Matthew 28:6, Acts 1:9

Holy Spirit – As the third person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit indwells each believer who is sealed until the day of redemption and empowers us to live a godly life, through ongoing sanctification of the Holy Spirit. John 15:26

Salvation – As each member of the human race is born into sin – fallen, sinful and lost, man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Salvation is by grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ. Every true child of God possesses eternal life – being justified by faith and sealed by the Holy Spirit. Romans 10:13-15

Baptism – Baptism by water (immersion) is commanded in Scripture as an outward expression of an inward decision. By being baptized, we declare to the world that we have died with Christ, and been raised with Him to walk in newness of life. Matthew 28:19, Romans 6:4

The Lord’s Supper – A symbolic expression of sharing in the divine nature of Jesus Christ, this is a memorial to his suffering and death and a prophecy of His second coming. I Corinthians 11:26

The Church – The church began in the New Testament era with the descent of the Holy Spirit at the Day of Pentecost and is composed of all true believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. The church is not only a human organization, but a living organism. Each believer, born of the Spirit, is an integral part of the church. Ephesians 1:22-23, 2:22

Second Coming and Blessed Hope – There will be a bodily resurrection of the saved and of the lost – Living and Dead. The saved unto eternal life, and the lost until eternal and conscious judgment in hell. I Thessalonians 4:16
